Banská Štiavnica
in the Štiavnicke Vrchy Moutains is the jewel of Slovakia and designated UNESCO World Heritage site. Over 360 monuments and historical buildings blend into the spectacular scenery of its surroundings. In 1735 the empress Maria Theresa established the first mining school in this town, the first such university worldwide and later model for the famous school of polytechnics in Paris. Other interesting sights in Banská Štiavnica are: The open – Air mining Museum with its underground exhibit located on two levels, one at a depth of 33 m, the other at 45m.

Banská Bystrica & Bystrianska Cave
Banská Bystrica is the modern centre of the region of Pohronie and one of the most picturesque towns of Slovakia with 750 years of history. Therefore it is still true to say : „Alive in Bystrica , after death in heaven.“ In 1255 King Bela IV granted town rights to Banská Bystrica which included privileges to mine for gold, silver and other metals, thus ensuring long-lasting prosperity for the whole region. Bystrianska Cave consists of the Old and the New Cave, about 1.000 m in length. The Old Cave was known to the locals since the ancient times. It has been serving for for speleotherapeutic procedures since 1971. Possible visit to unique Dead Bats Cave.

Kremnica & the geographic centre of Europe
Gold has been mined in Kremnica already 1,000 years ago. The town received municipal privileges by King Karol Robert in 1328, when a mint, which is in operation until today, was founded. Town castle in Kremnica consists of medieval buildings of 13th-15th century. The castle is protected by fortification connected with walls. Kremnica walls are considered to be one of the best preserved town walls in Slovakia.

Wooden church in Hronsek & Forest Railway
Visiting unique articular wooden church in Hronsek constructed in 1726 – the building had to be finished within a year and made of wood without metal nails. Forest Railway at Cierny Hron is the biggest forestry railway in Slovakia, build in 1909. In the train you can travel listen the gipsy music on the way or survive the robbers raid in the train.
