Expert group

Regional expert group (REG) works as an advisory body of BBSGR since 2007. After its fourth meeting in September 2008 it was divided into four specialised subgroups due to the efficiency reasons. The fifth group was added in 2009:

• Employment and family support
• Gender equality application in the public administration
• Marginalised Romany communities – Romany women
• Human rights, discrimination and violence committed on women
• Women in rural areas

REG consists of experts focusing on the specific issues. Its basic goal is the networking of the professional capacities in different spheres such as the state administration, self-government, nonprofit sector, academic sphere; creation of the potential partnerships for the cooperation and effective solutions introduction for the specific problematic areas.

In connection with the actual economic situation in the world and in Slovakia with its negative impact on the employment also in BBSGR the institute concentrates on the first subgroup of REG.
